The Holosun IRIS-3-RD-IR / IRIS-3-GR-IR is an aiming laser system (visible + IR + IR illuminator) housed in an ultra-compact 7075 aluminum body—intentionally designed to be flatter and lighter than its predecessor, with a centrally positioned activation button for ambidextrous operation.

This advanced system integrates co-aligned visible and infrared (IR) aiming lasers, enabling precise zeroing in daylight using the visible laser and a seamless transition to IR functionality for nighttime operations. A powerful 60 mW VCSEL IR illuminator delivers excellent performance in low-light conditions and complete darkness when used with night vision devices..

A top-mounted beam adjustment dial allows quick adjustment of the IR illuminator from wide to narrow, even while wearing gloves, optimizing performance across different engagement distances.

The rear on/off switch and a mode selector enhance ergonomics and ease of use. The IRIS module offers multiple operating modes, each with two brightness levels. The user can select between a visible laser, an IR laser, and an IR illuminator.

Power is supplied by a CR123A battery, with decreasing capacity indicated by a red LED.

The two models differ only in the color of the visible laser:

• IRIS-3-RD-IR: visible red laser (635 nm)
• IRIS-3-GR-IR: visible green laser (520 nm)

Both variants additionally feature an IR laser (830 nm) and a 60 mW IR VCSEL illuminator for use with night vision devices.
